Japan to provide Ukraine with transformers and solar panels
The new batch of humanitarian aid from Japan will include transformers and solar panels.
This was discussed during a meeting of Deputy Energy Ministers Yaroslav Demchenkov and Svitlana Hrynchuk with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), headed by JICA Vice President Ando Naoki, the Ministry of Energy reports.
“Transformers and solar panels from Japanese partners will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future,” the statement said.
In particular, Naoki emphasized that about 40% of the assistance provided by the Japanese side to Ukraine is support for the country’s energy sector.
Demchenkov thanked the Japanese partners for the support provided to the Ukrainian energy sector and emphasized its importance for getting through the winter in the face of enemy attacks on energy infrastructure.
