Introducing solar energy to young people at the Youth Climate Innovation Hackathon
The iSolar team joined the Youth Climate Innovation Hackathon held in Kyiv at UNIT.City. The goal of the event is to improve students’ practical skills and give them a chance to create interdisciplinary solutions in the field of climate innovation.
The event was attended by 30 students from different regions of Ukraine. They worked in teams on real cases, one of which we prepared at iSolar. One of the groups of students was mentored by the IT director of Mikhail Knysh, and Kirill Doronin, Business Development Director, joined the jury to evaluate the proposed solutions.
Our approach is unchanged: to share knowledge, support and inspire those who are just taking their first steps in the energy sector. That is why we also invited members of the HR team to the event, so that students could see that the doors to iSolar are always open for internships and career start-ups.

“For iSolar, it is important to be close to those who are at the beginning of their career path not only with words but also with actions: we support students, share knowledge, and open up opportunities for practice and work. We want young people to stay and develop in Ukraine, and it is the task of business to create the conditions for this,” comments Oksana Komarnytska, COO of the company.
Joining the Youth Climate Innovation Hackathon is another step by iSolar to introduce young people to solar energy, show them the prospects of interesting and highly paid jobs in Ukraine, and engage the new generation in building an energy-independent and innovative future together.
