The number of families in Ukraine that use their own solar power plants has increased by 24,000 in three years and now stands at 25,600, according to the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving.
The total capacity of home solar power plants is almost 700 MW.
The amount of investments made by families exceeds 520 million euros.
Advantages of home power plants:
ENVIRONMENTAL friendliness: generate only as much energy as needed + motivate the use of energy-efficient equipment;
FINANCE: control over production allows you to save on electricity bills + excess energy can be sold;
FOR THE STATE: using energy at the point of production avoids losses in the grid during transportation.
