The decision was made by the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission.
Therefore, starting June 30, during the evening peak consumption, from 19:00 to 23:00, the upper price limit will now be 7200 UAH/MWh, which is 80% more expensive.
In general, the day-ahead and intraday markets will have three price levels for time slots during the day:
– for the nighttime period, from 00:00 to 7:00 and from 23:00 to 00:00, the upper limit of the electricity price for business will increase by 50% – up to UAH 3000/MWh.
– for daytime hours from 7:00 to 19:00 by 25% – up to 5000 UAH/MWh.
– for the evening peak, from 19:00 to 23:00, the marginal price will be 80% higher – 7200 UAH/MWh.
Following the increase in electricity prices on June 1, the average electricity bill for one family increased by about UAH 250.
Earlier, Ukrenergo explained the reason for the increase in electricity tariffs and said whether they might raise prices again this year.
